Indonesia sudah punya DR. Taufik Pasiak Ketua Neurosains Indonesia, mudah2an sekarang semakin banyak anggotanya yang tidak harus DOKTOR dulu…baru paham tentang Neurosains. Amiin.

MIT’s Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences stands at the nexus of neuroscience, biology and psychology. We combine these disciplines to study specific aspects of the brain and mind including: vision, movement systems, learning and memory, neural and cognitive development, language and reasoning. Working collaboratively, we apply our expertise, tools, and techniques to address and answer both fundamental and universal questions about how the brain and mind work.

Research

The Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences is committed to advancing the fields of brain and cognitive science through original research that strengthens our understanding of the brain and mind. This commitment is given voice through an environment of education and collaboration involving students, faculty, and scholars from a wide variety of disciplines, who share the common goal of transforming individual discoveries into collective breakthroughs.
Our department is unique in the depth and breadth of research we conduct. We apply a range of tools and methodologies in an effort to understand the processes and mechanisms that underlie cognition at all levels – from molecules to cognitive modules.
We use this understanding to help answer complex questions in several areas of specialization. These include vision, learning and memory, plasticity and development, sensory systems, language, and reasoning. Each of these areas benefits from and is advanced by research techniques developed and applied by the department.

Karena sekecil apapun informasi baru tentang Otak dan Kerjanya dapat menjadi PERUBAHAN PADA KEHIDUPAN MANUSIA, baik dari segi kesehatan maupun kehidupan yang melibatkan OTAK. Brain Booster Management Indonesia, menggunakan hasil riset MIT dan Kurikulumnya dalam menjalankan pelatihan Kinerja Otak dan Manajemen Pola Pikir, agar dapat memberikan YANG TERBAIK KEPADA MASYARAKAT INDONESIA.

Perjuangan Brain Booster Management Indonesia belum ada artinya, dibandingkan para peneliti diseluruh dunia. Scope
Cognitive science is a large field, and covers a wide array of topics on cognition. However, it should be recognized that cognitive science is not equally concerned with every topic that might bear on the nature and operation of the mind or intelligence. Social and cultural factors, emotion, consciousness, animal cognition, comparative and evolutionary approaches are frequently de-emphasized or excluded outright, often based on key philosophical conflicts. Another important mind-related subject that the cognitive sciences tend to avoid is the existence of qualia, with discussions over this issue being sometimes limited to only mentioning qualia as a philosophically-open matter. Some within the cognitive science community, however, consider these to be vital topics, and advocate the importance of investigating them.
Artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) involves the study of cognitive phenomena in machines. One of the practical goals of AI is to implement aspects of human intelligence in computers. Computers are also widely used as a tool with which to study cognitive phenomena. Computational modeling uses simulations to study how human intelligence may be structured. (See the section on computational modeling in the Research Methods section.)

There is some debate in the field as to whether the mind is best viewed as a huge array of small but individually feeble elements (i.e. neurons), or as a collection of higher-level structures such as symbols, schemas, plans, and rules. The former view uses connectionism to study the mind, whereas the latter emphasizes symbolic computations.

One way to view the issue is whether it is possible to accurately simulate a human brain on a computer without accurately simulating the neurons that make up the human brain.
